MINUTES
BOARD OF PUBLIC SAFETY
April 22, 2015
A SPECIAL AND TELEPHONIC MEETING of the Board of Public Safety was held in the Mayor’s Office on Wednesday, April 22, 2015.
Those in attendance included Mayor Elinor Carbone, Commissioners Glenn McLeod, Richard Zaharek and Robert Conforti and Douglas Benedetto along with Fire Chief Gary Brunoli. Deputy Fire Chief Christopher Pepler and Commissioner Darlene Battle participated by telephone. Commissioner Angelo LaMonica was absent.
Mayor Carbone called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m.
EXECUTIVE SESSION: Fire Dept. Personnel
On a motion by Commissioner Benedetto, seconded by Commissioner Conforti, the Board voted unanimously to enter executive session under Fire Dept. personnel at 10:00 a.m., inviting Chief Brunoli.
OPEN SESSION
On a motion by Commissioner McLeod, seconded by Commissioner Benedetto, the Board voted unanimously to enter open session at 10:11 a.m.
PROMOTION: Deputy Fire Marshal
On a motion by Commissioner Benedetto, seconded by Commissioner McLeod, the Board voted unanimously to promote Lt. Todd LaMothe to the position of Deputy Fire Marshal, effective Sunday, April 26, 2015.
PROMOTION: Lieutenant
On a motion by Commissioner Conforti, seconded by Commissioner McLeod, the Board voted unanimously to promote FF Walter Dixon, VI to the position of Lieutenant, effective Sunday, April 26, 2015.
ADJOURNMENT
On a motion by Commissioner Benedetto, seconded by Commissioner McLeod, the Board voted unanimously to adjourn at 10:15 a.m.
